Day 01: Arrive Paro
Meeting the representative from Bhutan Journeys on arrival and
transfer to the hotel.
Evening take a walk around Paro town.
Overnight Hotel
Day 02: Paro Sightseeing
Morning Visit Ta Dzong (National Museum), which shed further
light that you will be seeing on your trip.
Visit Rinpung Dzong built in 1646, which houses the
administrative center for Paro District and religious institute
for monks. Walk down to the coach crossing over the wooden
covered bridge called (Nymezampa) which spans over Paro River.
Lunch will be arranged at one of the local restaurant in Paro
town.
Afternoon visit Drukgyel Dzong (the ruined fortress) which
reveals the ancient architecture and on a clear day, you will be
able to view the stunning view of Mt. Chomolhari looming over
the dzong.
Enroute view the Taktsang monastery handing a cliff, one the
most venerated and sacred sights around the world.
Dinner and Overnight Uma Paro
Day 03: Paro / Chunzom / Thimphu (59 km, 2 hours)
Morning we will drive towards the Capital of Bhutan, Thimphu,
passing through hills and some astounding countryside.
Thimphu is situated in a large valley traversed by the Wangchuk
River and overshadowed by high peaks.
Afternoon at leisure to explore by your own.
Dinner and overnight: Hotel
Day 04: Thimphu Sightseeing
Morning, visit to School of Arts & Crafts, Textile & Folk
Heritage Museum and Memorial Chorten( stupa).
Afternoon drive to Sangay Gang (BBS Tower) to glimpse the view
of Thimphu valley.
En-route visit Mini zoo to see the National Animal Takin and
followed by visit to Handicrafts shops.
Dinner and Overnight: Hotel
Day 05: Thimphu Punakha (71 km, 3 hours)
Morning drive to Punakha, the route passes through horticulture
center in Yusipang over Dochula pass (3,050m).
The passes are doted with many colourful flags and chortens and
offer a spectacular view of Eastern Himalayas on the clear day.
After a light refreshment at Dochula Cafeteria
Descend through the forest of Rhododendrons and Magnolia,
passing through several villages to the fertile valley of Lobesa,
Drive for 20 minutes to your hotel and have some lunch.
Afternoon we will visit Punakha Dzong which is one of the most
architecturally impressive Dzong in the country.
Evening at leisure.
Dinner and Overnight: Hotel Zangthopelri
Day 06: Punakha Wangduephodrang Paro (145 km, 5 hours)
Morning drive to Wangduephodrang town visiting Dzong and the
enterprising commercial establishment that provide basic
necessities.
Drive back to Paro over Dochula Pass.
En route visit Simtokha Dzong, the frist Dzong built in 1629, it
is undergoing a major renovation where you will have the
opportunity to see people at work.
Dinner and Overnight: Hotel
Day 07: Depart Paro Airport
Morning drive to airport for your onward flight destination.
