Cost:
The daily cost of stay in Bhutan is fixed by the Royal Government of
Bhutan through the policy of regulated tourist tariff. Through the
concept of “high value and low impact” it is Bhutan’s intention to
minimize the negative impact of tourism and maintain the number of
tourist at a manageable level at all times.
The daily cost for tourists
visiting in group is as follows:
The daily tariff for tourists visiting in a group of 3 persons is
dependant on season and quality of accommodation. As an indication it is
approximately US$250 per person in high season and US$200 during off
seasons (July & August).
Surcharges:
Groups of less than three people shall be subjected to an additional
charge as follows:
Single individual US $40 per night
Group of 2 people US $30 per night
Tourism Development fund (TD) US$10 each tourist (one off)
Single supplement charges of US$20.00 per night halt per person will
apply for any single room requirement.
Visa fee of US$20 to be paid along with tour payment.
Services included in the rate are:
1: Accommodation
2: Food
3: Land transport within Bhutan
4: Services of an English Speaking guide
5: Supply of pack ponies, yak, trekking crews and porters
6: All necessary camping equipments for Treks (excluding sleeping bags &
sleeping mat)
7. All entrance fees
8. 37% Government Tax
Services not included in the rates are:
Drinks, Laundry, phone calls.
Air fare for your desired flight sectors.
